Graduates earn 3,679 degrees, certificates from the University of Houston-Downtown


About 44 percent of the 3,679 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of Houston-Downtown in 2017-18 were to students in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Houston conferred 827 bachelor's degrees and 434 master's degrees in business, management, marketing, and related support services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in "other" multi-/interdisciplinary studies. Data shows the school gave out 778 bachelor's degrees in "other" multi-/interdisciplinary studies, followed by 419 master's degrees in general business administration and management and 358 certificates in general business administration and management.

The university enrolled 13,919 students for 2017-18, including 12,407 in undergraduate programs and 1,512 in graduate programs.
