2.7 percent of Texas A & M University-Corpus Christi students played sports on university teams in 2016-2017


In 2016-2017, 2.7 percentage of Texas A & M University-Corpus Christi students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Texas A & M University-Corpus Christi has 10,170 undergraduate students, of which 58 percent are women and 42 percent are men, and a total student body of 12,232 students. Of these students, 141 men and 185 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 4.3 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Texas A & M University-Corpus Christi with the most participants are all track combined (163), basketball (34) and baseball (34).
