FORT WORTH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Macy’s Grants Funds to Tarrant County Nonprofit

Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Aug. 7.

Macy’s has gifted $5,000 to Alliance For Children in support of Spanish translation services for families served through the agency. This generous donation allows Alliance For Children to better serve adults and children who feel most comfortable communicating in Spanish. During a child abuse investigation and beyond, Alliance For Children is thankful to be able to provide Spanish translation as needed to ensure families are receiving needed information and to assist partner agencies to prevent any barriers in communication with families.

Regarding the donation, Alliance For Children’s Executive Director Julie Evans stated:

“We appreciate the generosity of Macy’s and the commitment to child abuse victims and their families receiving access to quality services. With their help, Alliance For Children works to rescue hope, restore trust, and rebuild lives.”

Alliance For Children is the Children’s Advocacy Center for Tarrant County, working in partnership with 24 local law enforcement agencies, Cook Children’s Medical Center, the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services to coordinate child abuse investigations and help ensure children and families receive needed services. Alliance For Children has served over 53,000 children since 1992.
