Cost of college went up for all students at Texas Christian University

Tuition and fees rose 4.9 percent for 2017-18 at Texas Christian University, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.


Tuition and fees rose 4.9 percent for 2017-18 at Texas Christian University, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Texas students paid $44,760 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year $2,090 more than the $42,670 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 81 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 1,411 students received grants or scholarships totaling $34.85 million and 579 students took out student loans totaling more than $7.63 million.

Including all undergraduates, 5,983 students used grants or scholarships totaling $133.03 million. Another 2,527 took out $17.82 million in federal student loans.
