Cost of college went up for all students at Dallas Baptist University

Tuition and fees rose 5 percent for 2017-18 at Dallas Baptist University, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.


Tuition and fees rose 5 percent for 2017-18 at Dallas Baptist University, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Texas students paid $27,480 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year $1,300 more than the $26,180 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 96 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 466 students received grants or scholarships totaling $5.46 million and 244 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.84 million.

Including all undergraduates, 2,840 students used grants or scholarships totaling $28.05 million. Another 2,001 took out $16.97 million in federal student loans.
