Graduates earn 3,407 degrees, certificates from Collin County Community College District


About 60 percent of the 3,407 degrees and certificates handed out by the Collin County Community College District in 2016-17 were to students in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in McKinney conferred 2046 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies. Data shows the school gave out 1161 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies, followed by 885 associate's degrees in General Studies and 185 associate's degrees in Business/Commerce, General.

The college enrolled 29,703 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
