CITY OF AMARILLO: City Departments Host Job Fair

Several City of Amarillo departments will host a job fair on Saturday, Feb. 10 from 10 a.m.

City of Amarillo issued the following announcement on Feb. 6.

Several City of Amarillo departments will host a job fair on Saturday, Feb. 10 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the City’s Service Center, 800 E. 23rd Ave. Departments seeking qualified candidates for an array of opportunities include Solid Waste, Transit, Water Utilities, Animal Management & Welfare, Parks & Recreation, and the Amarillo Police Department.

“The City is a great environment for motivated individuals interested in building a career while serving their community,” says Human Resources Director Mitch Normand. “Additionally, our compensation package is extremely competitive, offering employees affordable health coverage and retirement and leave benefits.”

Saturday’s job fair will provide employment seekers with access to departments seeking talented candidates in the many disciplines necessary for day-to-day operations. On-site applicant pre-screening and skill testing will be available. Applicants should bring copies of their resume and driver’s license or valid state identification card.
