The North San Antonio Chamber spotlighted its Leadership and Professional Development chair and nine-year chamber member Melodye Tomsu in its recent newsletter.
The chamber chose Tomsu, a SpawGlass business development manager, for its August member spotlight and highlighted her active work with the North San Antonio Chamber. SpawGlass is a Texas-based commercial and civil contractor with six locations throughout the state.
Tomsu began her work with the chamber in 2008 after graduating from the Leadership Lab program. She served on the steering committee for the program and also held the post of president for the lab’s Leadership Alumni Association.
"The North San Antonio Chamber has not only provided my great networking opportunities for SpawGlass, but has given exceptional education growth for many of our employees since the program's inception in 1999,” Tomsu said in the chamber’s spotlight piece.
In 2015, Tomsu chaired the Leadership Lab’s 86 students who graduated from the program. She will be instituting a new Leadership and Development Program which will be launched later this year.
The chamber’s Leadership and Professional Development Council works to encourage and support community leaders by promoting leadership cultivation by assisting business people in building professional connections and engaging in advanced thinking and best practices.
