Former Super Bowl champion and Kiddie Academy founder James Ihedigbo will host a grand opening to celebrate his new facility in Rosharon this month.
“We’re so excited for the grand opening,” Ihedigbo said in a press release. “Making a difference in the lives of children is a huge priority for us. We’re parents now, so my wife and I were looking for the best environment for our children to learn and grow in, socially, physically and intellectually. We found that at Kiddie Academy.”
Ihedigbo will be on hand to open his new Kiddie Academy, an education-based child care facility, on Savanah Parkway. The grand opening celebration will take place on Aug. 26 and will include several family-friendly events and festivities such as face painting, a Kona Ice Truck and a storytime live with Curious George jumping out of the book page to visit with kids.
“We love their approach to child care and education...so much so, we wanted to open one of our own,” Ihedigbo said in the release. “It’s been a journey since we first considered the idea, and now that it’s come to fruition, we can’t wait to share it with everyone in the area.”
The grand opening, which is free and open to the public, will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 5158 Savannah Parkway.
