The LiftFund Women’s Business Center will host their Women’s Business Accelerator (WBA) program this fall featuring workshops, mentoring and peer-to-peer discussions for women entrepreneurs in the San Antonio area.
The eight-week WBA program will address topics such as growth, strategy, marketing, sales and finance as well as personal issues such as work/life balance and gaining confidence. During the program, mentors and speakers coach and support business owners through workshops and one-on-one sessions.
“The number of women-owned businesses continues to increase, however the employment rate and revenues for women-owned firms has remained stagnant over the years,” Women’s Business Center Director Margot Slosson said in a press release. “This is not only at the national level, but locally as well.”
“We saw a need in our community for mentoring and support geared towards established women-owned firms, and developed the WBA program to give women the tools and confidence to position them for growth,” Slosson said in a statement.
The program will be held Sept. 12 through Oct. 31 and applications are now available at liftfund.com/wba/.
“This program has a combination of both hard and soft skills designed to address unique challenges that female entrepreneurs face, while helping the participants foster peer and mentor relationships that last well beyond the end of the program,” Slosson said in the press release.
