Twenty-three Leadership Killeen class participants recently graduated from the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce’s 2017 class, marking the 30th year of the leadership training program.
After starting the program in September of last year, the graduates completed the class, which is designed to provide opportunities for upcoming community leaders to interact with current business and community leaders.
The 2017 Leadership Killeen Class included chamber members from A+ Federal Credit Union, Central Texas College, Century Link City of Killeen, Cloud Read Estate, First National Bank Texas, Grace Christian Center, HEB, Killeen Independent School District, Lamar Advertising, Made of Gold Service, Metroplex Hospital, Morris Real Estate, and The United Methodist Church.
“Leadership Killeen gave me an opportunity to see all of the wonderful organizations and people that are making an impact in the lives of individuals, families and businesses,” 2017 class graduate and Grace Christian Center Pastor Mark Price said in the Chamber’s announcement.
Participants attend a class one day every month at various locations throughout the community, where they focus on a topic such as education, health care, economic development, problem-solving and leadership development.
The Chamber’s Leadership Class 2017-2018 registration is now open and applications are available at http://killeenchamber.com or by calling Courtney Young at 254-526-9551.
