The Richardson Economic Development Partnership (REDP) recently earned reaccreditation from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), making it the only economic development organization to be accredited by the Council.
The Richardson Chamber of Commerce announced the REDP reaccreditation along with its own reaccreditation as one of only two chambers to receive a 5-star chamber accreditation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
“Thanks to the extraordinary efforts of our city and chamber staff, and the generation and execution of strategic economic development initiatives and programs, Richardson has again earned this prestigious national recognition, sustaining its distinctive status as one of just a few communities nationally with an accredited economic development organization and a five-star Chamber of Commerce," Richardson Mayor Paul Voelker said in the announcement. "The reaccreditation is a powerful testament to how the REDP continues to make Richardson strong by helping to attract and retain world-class businesses, particularly those in our core sectors of technology, financial services and health care".
The REDP works with the Richardson Chamber to attract new companies, investments and jobs to help build the local economy.
“The accreditation process measures our organization against the best in the business,” REDP’s president and CEO Bill Sproull said in the announcement.
