Dallas-based Cinergy Entertainment will offer its sensory friendly movie series, specifically designed for those with autism and sensory processing disorders, this summer.

During one Saturday each month, Cinergy hosts the special screenings of family-friendly movies in an auditorium that  features brighter light levels, reduced sound and an area for movie watchers to interact and move around.

The summer lineup of movies includes "Cars 3" on June 24, "Despicable Me 3" on July 15 and "The Nut Job 2" on Aug. 19.

Cinergy Entertainment Group operates three Texas entertainment centers and 29 screens that feature dine-in cinemas offering food, beer and wine.
