Avi Kahn was recently selected to step into Hilti North America’s top post as former president and CEO Cary Evert retired after 40 years with the company.
Kahn, who has served as Hilti Canada’s general manager since 2011, is now Hilti North America’s new president and CEO replacing Evert, who held the top position for the past 12 years.
“It is a privilege to step into the leadership position for the North American organization at this time,” Kahn said. “Since joining the company 12 years ago, I have developed a deep passion for the business, the brand and our people. I look forward to continuing to build on the strong foundation created by Cary and my colleagues on the North America executive management team."
Kahn began his career with Hilti in 2004 when he served as the company’s San Francisco territory sales representative. He then was promoted to the regional manager post in San Diego and Hawaii, where he served until 2008 before being named as the Chicago-based West Great Lakes division manager for Hilti. In the beginning of 2011, Kahn was named to the general manager post of Hilti Canada.
Hilti’s greater Toronto division manager, Martina Mclsaac will fill Kahn’s previous position and will serve as general manager of Hilti Canada.
