Firstmark Credit Union has tapped Kayvee Kondapalli, a 15-year credit union veteran, to serve as its new chief information officer.
Kayvee, who previously held the chief information officer position with Scott Credit Union in Illinois, will head Firstmark’s information security, technology infrastructure, core banking programing/operations, digital services and payment systems.
“I am thrilled Kayvee is joining the Firstmark team,” Firstmark President and CEO Nathanael Tarwasokono said. “Kayvee brings a wealth of technology experience and knowledge to our organization and he will be instrumental in leading forward all aspects of our technology.”
While at the $1 billion Scott Credit Union, Kondapalli led the IT department’s strategy and operations section. Kayvee’s experience also includes serving as chief technology and heading various IT leadership roles at Campus Federal Credit Union in Baton Rouge.
“Consumers today want access to their bank accounts anytime and anywhere,” Tarwasokono said. “As we grow, it will be important to align our technology strategy with our members’ expectations today and in the future. I am confident Kayvee will successfully lead us forward in this endeavor."
Firstmark was established in 1932 by 10 teachers from the San Antonio Independent School District. It now has over 100,000 members and over $1 billion in assets.
