Hobby Lobby recently held the grand opening of its new 55,000-square-foot store in Valley Ranch Town Center, joining other retailers as part of one of the largest retail projects now underway in the Houston area.
Officials from Hobby Lobby and the Signorelli Co., developer of the Valley Ranch Town Center, cut the ribbon to the retail center’s newest business in the master-planned community.
“The momentum is building in Valley Ranch Town Center,“ Signorelli Co. President and CEO Daniel Signorelli said. “We’re proud to welcome Hobby Lobby, one of the nation’s most popular retailers to our growing collection of over 85 quality stores, restaurants and entertainment venues now open or soon to open.”
“We feel blessed for the fantastic opportunity to be a part of the New Caney community,” Hobby Lobby’s assistant vice president of advertising John Schumacher said.
Valley Ranch Town Center is a retail center in the 1,400-acre master planned community of Valley Ranch. The town center is slated to include 1.5 million square feet of retail, dining, hospitality, entertainment and civic venues.
The first phase of the project is close to completion with the second phase expected to open later this year. Retailers signed on for the second phase include Burlington, TJ Maxx, Ross, PetSmart and Rack Room Shoes. Cinemark’s NextGen all-recliner theater is already slated for the entertainment district of the town center.
