Lubbock’s popular annual wine and food festival is slated for the end of this month and is scheduled to feature wine, food tasting and a special class for wine and culinary connoisseurs.

A Taste of Lubbock, hosted by the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, will highlight local wineries with a dozen wine tasting choices which are specially paired with food selections by local chefs from Top Tier Catering. In addition, during the event one local wine-maker or grape-grower will be honored for their work in bringing the wine industry to the Lubbock area.

The Texas wine and food pairing kicks off the event on April 27 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Texas Tech McKenzie-Merket Alumni Center. The event continues with the wine festival on April 28 during Lubbock Uncorked and The Chef’s Table: Wine & Dine Texas Style special class at the American Wind Power Center from 4-9 p.m.

The Chef’s Table: Wine & Dine Texas Style will feature a special class from 5-7 p.m. where participants will learn the intricacy of wine and food pairing. Tickets are $20 for the class and $30 for A Taste of Lubbock event which can be purchased at the Chamber office. For additional information call 806-761-7000 or email christye.weld@lubbockbiz.org.
