Houston-area resident and former Super Bowl Champion James Ihedigbo will begin construction of a new Kiddie Academy facility next week that he and his wife Brittany will operate.
Ihedigbo, who is now a safety for the Buffalo Bills, will break ground at the Lakes of Savannah Kiddie Academy franchise which is slated to open this June.
“We’re rally looking forward to providing the Academy’s unique services to children and parents in the Lakes of Savannah area,” Ihedigbo said. “Texas will always be home to Brittany and I and we couldn’t think of a better place to launch a program that allows us to assist local children in developing the confidence and self-esteem they need to meet the challenges of tomorrow.”
Ihedigbo, who founded the Hope Africa USA charity in 2007, has funded numerous scholarships and educational programs for children nationwide through the charity and to promote learning.
“The new Kiddie Academy gives us a chance to extend our educational goals to younger children,” he said. “It does take a village to raise a child and the Academy provides a great comprehensive platform to enable children to learn and grow socially, physically, emotionally and intellectually.”
The groundbreaking will take place Tuesday at 10 a.m. at 5158 Savannah Parkway in Rosharon. Open enrollment for the new facility is now underway. Call 832-569-4847 for more information.
