The Conroe Art League is hosting several special exhibits featuring local artists this month and highlighting a variety of impressionistic nature pieces.
An exhibit running now through April 4 features local artist Kathy Fediw and her oils and pastels impressionistic work depicting the American landscape, including scenes and land from the local Texas area.
Fediw, who has studied with several top American artists, is the recipient of many art show and contest awards. Her memberships include the Pastel Society of America, the Conroe as well as Woodlands Art Leagues and the American Impressionists Society and Pastel Society of Southeast Texas.
Fediw will also host a workshop called Painting the Landscape with Pastels at The Gallery on March 31 and April 1.
The League will also host its Art In Bloom exhibit Friday and Saturday with a self-guided walking tour displaying Fediw’s work with a reception Saturday at 4 p.m.
Art In Bloom will be held at The Gallery’s Madeley Building, 127 Simonton in Conroe, Friday from noon to 7 p..m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a reception from 4-7 p.m.
