Construction for a second phase of the Valley Ranch Town Center has begun, as several major retailers recently signed on to join other national chain stores already open in the project’s first phase.
Slated as one of the largest retail projects being built around the Houston area, Valley Ranch Town Center’s second phase will include TJ Maxx, Ross Dress For Less, Rack Room Shoes, Burlington and PetSmart. Those stores will neighbor existing retailers Academy Sports + Outdoors, Sam’s Club, Party City, Panda Express, Subway and Sally Beauty to make up the 240 acre retail development. The Center’s Kroger Marketplace and Hobby Lobby are expected to open by next month.
In addition to retail stores at the Valley Ranch Town Center, the project’s developer also has home sites included in the Valley Ranch master-planned community.
“Our timing and location couldn’t be more perfect with the opening of the Grand Parkway bringing an influx of residential and business growth to northeast Houston,” Daniel Signorelli, president and CEO of the Signorelli Co., said.
The master plan includes around 1.5 million square feet of retail, restaurants, hospitality, civic venues as well as entertainment which will include a Cinemark Nextgen “all recliner,” 10- screen theater. The project’s second phase is anticipated to be open late this year.
