A volunteer effort that kicked off Thursday will create win-win opportunities for the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce and its 2017 event sponsors.
Headed by chairman Marcus Young of United Supermarkets and co-chairman Mark Williams of Sanford and Tatum Insurance Agency, the seventh annual installment of the Total Resource Campaign puts some of the city’s best brainpower to work matching sponsorship opportunities to area businesses.
“We have an outstanding group of volunteers again this year and we thank Chamber member businesses for allowing their employees to take part in this campaign to make it successful each year,” Young said in a news release.
The Chamber will host dozens of events this year, including golf outings, barbecue cook-offs and prayer meetings. It will also offer sponsorship tie-ins and publicity at various levels of support.
“This is a great opportunity for our members to support the Chamber and its events and programs," Chairwoman Diannah Tatum said. "We hope everyone feels free to join in on being a sponsor at these great events even if they have not been involved in the past.”
Other campaign leaders listed include Bobby McCloud, Wayland Baptist University; Myndee Pool, Mpressions; Nathan Scarborough, Lubbock National Bank; and Tyler Young, Texas Tech Federal Credit Union.
