Local Lubbock businesses are partnering with the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) to help middle and high school students learn about the advertising, insurance, graphic design and web development aspects of business.

The 30-week program brings together 16 students who will work closely with more than 50 local businesses and community leaders to learn how to run a business. Included in the presentations is Feed and Thangs’ Mike Lambert, who introduced the participants to the pros and cons of a niche market.

At the end of the program, a dozen businesses will be launched by the 16 students.
