Every first of the year, the Dallas Regional Chamber (DRC) Young Professional (YP) program hosts a YP Kickoff Breakfast to provide members with exciting and innovative plans for the upcoming year.
The Baylor Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center accommodated an estimated 200 young professionals eager to be more engaged in their career success. The new theme, "Shape Tomorrow Today," was introduced by Julio Perez, the 2017 YP Chair. Perez elaborated on various opportunities and members networked with peers, all awhile feasting on a breakfast buffet.
DRC board member Sara Madsen Miller, chief operations officer and co-founder of 1820 Productions, chaired the 2017 Leadership Council, At the YP program, she addressed participants on Dallas' rapidly growing business climate and motivated members to take a leadership roles in the Dallas community.
YP also viewed a video highlighting the DRC's "Say Yes to Dallas" campaign, designed to attract millennials to the Dallas area.
The DRC program also discussed opportunities to serve on the Policy Committee, Leadership Committee, Service Committee, Networking Committee or Lead YP.
