Five Irving-based businesses recently qualified for the “Dallas 100” list recognizing North Texas’ 100 fastest-growing, privately owned companies compiled by the Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship at Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business.
Ranking the North Texas area’s rising stars for the past 26 years, the Dallas 100 system assesses each potential recipient of the designation across specific scales, including net sales growth and percentage figures. SMU’s Caruth Institute then assigns a numerical ranking to each based on the changes seen over a three-year period of time.
For 2016, criteria included minimum base sales of $500,000 and a maximum of $75 million in fiscal year 2013.
Emerging as Irving’s highest-ranking business this year was Thermigen, a firm specializing in medical aesthetics technology, which ranked No. 10 out of the total 100.
BSI Financial Services, a loan servicing and subservicing, loan review and due diligence business, scored at No. 16, while integrated logistics provider PGL followed directly at No. 17.
Tachyon Technologies LLC, a niche mobility, cloud and analytics solutions company with resources spanning state-of-the-art technologies, earned a rank of No. 34; and The Expo Group, a trade show management company delivering exhibitor services for conferences, conventions and trade shows, ranked at No. 84.
